(view) through a door
Media; Mirror, eyepiece, mylar, natural light

In this site-specific installation, viewers were encouraged to peer through the peephole of a closed, locked door. By employing a hidden camera obscura and a mirror, the view reveals what is behind the observer, not what is behind the door. At certain times of day, observers would see the tops of their own heads. This work queers the apparatus of the camera obscura while dis-orienting the observer and subverting their expectations of voyeurism.
