Light study (.01nm – 10nm)
Materials: Kodak Ektagraphic slide projector, X-ray radiation, 35mm Kodak Portra 400 (developed and undeveloped), 35mm Ilford Delta 3200 (developed and undeveloped)
In this experimental installation, a slide projector reveals photographic film that has been subject to X-ray radiation. Portions of the film are left undeveloped; a method which allows the exposures to darken and fade over the course of the exhibition. This project was an attempt to think through how non-visible spectrums-how invisible phenomena—are imaged, studied, and felt.
